Edward Pitcairn of that Ilk, twenty fourth in descent, eldest son
of Colonel Robert Pitcairn of that Ilk, was born on the 16th
June 1845. He
married Dora, daughter of the Rev Robert Kilvert, Rector of
Langley Burrell, and has two sons both Lieutenants in the Royal
Navy.
